MELISA MEDICA Foundation in collaboration with MELISA EUROPE (Hasselt, Belgium) and the Clinical Research Centre for Mental Health (CRC-MH) invites you to the 10th MELISA Study Group International Symposium:

Neuropsychiatric disorders; risk factors and treatment
Focus on: Metal Allergy, Nutrition, Immunity and Intracellular Factors

Modern medicine has been successful in fighting infectious diseases and prolonging life-span of cancer patients. Nevertheless, the number of patients suffering from so called "modern diseases" such as allergy, chronic fatigue, multiple sclerosis, autism, depression and other neuropsychiatric disorders, is steadily increasing. It becomes more and more evident that many of these disorders are caused by intracellular alterations and by immune and nutritional changes, and that they can be induced by the detrimental effects of external factors, such as metals.

International experts on the topics of prevention and treatment of the above neuropsychiatric disorders will present their research and clinical experience in lectures and workshops. Focus will be on the immune, nutritional and proteomic pathophysiological aspects of these disorders, the effects of metal allergy in the etiology of these disorders, diagnostic tools identifying individuals allergic to metals, and treatment methods, such as nutritional and chelation therapies.

This seminar will offer a unique opportunity to acquire scientific knowledge about the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders in this fast developing field of medicine and dentistry.

Welcome to join us in the beautiful city of Hasselt in Belgium!
